implemented under the convergence project of DPWH and NIA earlier today, July 10, 2023 at Brgy. Tabbugan, Claveria, Cagayan.

𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐂. 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐭, 𝑺𝑽𝑫, initiated the ceremonial groundbreaking and capsule laying.

𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧-𝐘𝐚𝐩𝐨 expressed her appreciation to the NIA Administrator for his relentless support of local government undertakings. She went on to say that the aforesaid projects will benefit the agricultural sector.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. Guillen stressed that these projects will not only benefit farmers but will also contribute to better tourism due to the water activities that will be available after completion. He is optimistic that these initiatives will prove to be the onset of Claveria’s breakthroughs in agriculture.

Moreover, Engr. Guillen highlighted the Wealth Creation in Agriculture program of Piddig, Ilocos Norte which earned the Galing Pook Awards. Winners of this award are given recognition at a prestigious ceremony for their excellent initiatives.

Member Joshua Jesus L. Salmon, Hon. SB Member Romeo R. Rafol, Municipal Agriculturist, Ms. Virginia Lagadon, Engr. Joseph Samonte, DPWH-UPMO, Engr. Rellie S. Dalmaceda, DPWH-District Engineer, LGU employees, Punong Barangays headed by Hon. Floramante S. Nebab, Sr., Barangay officials, and farmer beneficiaries.
