Speeches were presented shortly after the flag raising by PMAJ Julius D. Villamor, Jr., Mayor Yapo, and Vice Mayor Agpuldo.

PMAJ Villamor provided an overview on how effectively they respond in safeguarding the locality to make it a safer place to live and do business.

Mayor Yapo extended her sincere appreciation to all the individuals who helped make this year’s Lakay-Lakay Labig Festival a great success. She further added that they will give every effort to make next year’s celebrations more memorable.

“I hope that we have changed lives and made an impact to our contituents. Ngem maysa lang iti ibagak kadakayo, nakitayo apo ti resulta na nu agtitinnulong iti tumunggal maysa. Awan iti imposible para iti pagsayaatan ti kaadwan. We will continue to do what we know is best to our fellow Claverianos. So let’s not stop working together, kas tay kunada, “Two heads are better than one.” she said.

Mayor Yapo closed her statement by quoting Helen Keller: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Furthermore, Vice Mayor Agpuldo recognized the attendees for proactively participating in the event. Ms. Jobelyn Pastor was also acknowledged for winning first runner up in the recently concluded Cagayan Singing Idol Season 3 as part of the 440th Aggao Nac Cagayan celebrations.

Mr. Garry G. Pacis was named employee of the month for May, while Engr. Frederick Vidad was also recognized as employee of the month for June.

The ceremony was attended by honorable members of the Sangguniang Bayan, LGU Department Heads and employees, Barangay Officials, PNP, BFP, Coast Guard, and Maritime.
